Changing scene 1 storyline

We are changing the storyline where the guy is walking along the beach with the girl as we were not able to have the same actor in both scenes but had to go ahead and film it anyway. We decided we had to create some twist for our storyline for this scene which is now the character by himself walking along the river holding the necklace in his hand and then throws it in the river. We are hoping to get across to the audience that this character knows who this belongs to and knows whats been going on the whole time but noone else does.
